It is common during your initial 2-3 weeks to develop lumps in the injected areas. We will never let our patients leave the office with lumpy filler. However, in the initial recovery stage, swelling is possible. It is highly important that patients do NOT rub or massage the area if a lump develops as this can displace the filler. The lump that is felt will be swelling under the skin that can take up to 3 weeks to resolve.

Following any filler injections, it is important to avoid massaging or pressing on the area. The injection sites should be kept clean and free of makeup for 24 hours to avoid infection at the site.
